近日,牛津大学出版社在网站公布今年评选出的年度词汇为 “brain rot 脑腐”,定义为“一个人精神和智识状态的衰退”,因过度消费“某种无价值或不具挑战性的物质(尤指网络内容)”所致。
专家发现,2023年至2024年期间,该词的使用频率增加了230%。他们认为,这个词的高频使用反映了人们对于大量摄入低质量网络内容、尤其是社交媒体内容所产生影响的担忧。
除了“脑腐”,还有 “又端又装”(demure)、“动态定价”(dynamic pricing)、“知识背景”(lore)、“浪漫奇幻”(Romantasy)和“电子垃圾”(slop)这五个网络热词进入候选列表。
无独有偶,《咬文嚼字》编辑部也发布2024年十大流行语。“数智化、智能向善、未来产业、city不city、硬控、水灵灵地、班味、松弛感、银发力量、小孩哥/小孩姐”等10条入选。
